FOSTERING THE FUTURE
OF SCIENTIFIC TALENT

STEM education is at the heart of our community efforts

We believe when the best and brightest minds pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths), then all of society advances. We focus on programmes that nurture, challenge, and reward high-potential students while creating opportunities for those historically underrepresented in
the sciences.

Limerick Learning Hub support

Regeneron Ireland is a proud sponsor of the Learning Hub, a Limerick education initiative that works with primary school children to encourage and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM.

Supporting Junior Achievement Ireland

Regeneron Ireland partners with Junior Achievement Ireland to help shape the future of school children in our community. Employees from both our Dublin and Limerick sites volunteer their time to visit schools and inspire children to excel in education. Virtual and in-person programmes range from teaching maths through sports to having pupils design their own model city.

STEM Academy, Thomond College Limerick

Regeneron has developed a homegrown global Regeneron STEM Academy to engage and inspire local students from underrepresented groups in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The programme is designed to foster long-term relationships with students from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds. Through a blended learning approach of engaging and educational activities, the programme aims to encourage and support students in their studies, inspire them to attend college and ultimately, build a more diverse pipeline of underrepresented talent in STEM.

Regeneron Ireland College Awards

Regeneron Ireland sponsors College Awards at both the University of Limerick and University College Cork. The winners receive a financial bursary and secure a work placement onsite at Limerick, where they are mentored and coached, and gain incredible work experience at one of the country’s leading biotech companies.

Foster an enthusiasm that helps support our next generation of scientists
Helping students prepare for the workforce

Regeneron employees conduct workshops on college campuses, giving tips and advice on how graduates can prepare for an interview, what skills they need to highlight and what they should expect on the day.

Employees have also hosted similar C.V. clinics in local secondary schools.

Sparking an interest in STEM

Regeneron employees provide hands-on science experiences that ignite a spark in students, build connections and positively impact their attitudes towards science during our annual Day for Doing Good.

SciFest

Regeneron Ireland sponsors SciFest regional fairs across Ireland. Our employees engage with the scientists of the future and participate as judges at the regional fairs. SciFest national winners go on to compete at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition.

BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

Regeneron sponsors a final prize at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. The Regeneron Award is presented to the project that the judges feel demonstrates a passion for using science for good, an exceptional understanding of science concepts, perseverance and flexibility. The winners go on to represent Ireland at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
